The OMNI-4000 features exclusive interchangeable, precalibrated SMART BLOCK sensors. This unique modular design enables the user to simply and easily detect up to four different gases simultaneously.
The user can choose from any of 27 preprogrammed combustible gases or one of the optional programmable combustible gases, plus select and install up to three SMART BLOCK sensors.
The OMNI-4000 is preprogrammed for the following combustible gases/vapors at 0-100% LEL with a 10% LEL alarm: ethylene, pentane, hexane, ethanol, propane, butane, propylene oxide, ethylene oxide, propylene, acetylene, acetone, isobutane, ethyl acetate, 2-butanone, xylene, isopropanol, toluene, hydrogen, octane, methanol, kerosene, 1,3-butadiene, dimethylether, methane, gasoline, natural gas, and one open channel, plus methane 0-5% by volume. In addition, when an OMNI-4000 is equipped with both a combustible sensor and oxygen SMART BLOCK, the instrument automatically converts to 0-100% by volume if 100% LEL of the combustible gas is exceeded.
The SMART BLOCK sensor is a new technology that incorporates a standard sensor and allows interchangability in an instrument without the need to calibrate each sensor to the instrument. Memory chips in each sensor module hold information regarding sensor type, zero and span calibration information, date of manufacture, and date of last calibration. Available instrument configurations include combustible, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide sensors. SMART BLOCKS available for H2S, CO, O2, Cl2, H2, NO, NO2, HCN, HCl, SO2, NH3, O3, ClO2, CO2, ETO, and general hydrocarbons ( MOS BLOCK).
