Dr. Brown has participated in gas and vapor explosion incidents and contested citations in the confined space field approximately 29 times since 1980. His areas of expertise include gas and vapor detection, instrument capabilities (and deficiencies), confined space regulations for general industry vs. construction standards, confined space written program content, and proper classification of spaces as: permit-required or non-permit, spaces amenable to alternate procedure and spaces amenable to hazard eliminated reclassification.
